I began my journey in construction with one of the largest curtain wall companies in the world and learnt my trade on sites such as Canary Wharf and Central Middlesex Hospital. Starting from the bottom and quickly working my way up to an established fixer, I was lucky enough to be able to travel abroad on the back of my knowledge and spend over two years honing my skills on various large sites across Europe.
After returning to the UK, I decided to start working on a domestic level where I could have a larger input in design and receive a greater satisfaction from seeing my ideas implemented. Here my education really began as I had to gain a broad knowledge of the complexities of construction, from the bottom to the top so I could think of a resolution to any problem that might arise. It was at this time where I learnt Brick-laying, spending years working alongside experienced Bricklayers on a 1-on-1 basis to gain a detailed understanding of this difficult trade.
With my time outside work, my children and Arsenal Football Club are my two biggest passions although not necessarily in that order! Family adventure days on a Saturday are a great way for me to relax and take some time out in order to relax and recoup ready for Monday.
